JAZZ BANDS!

We are very lucky to have GREAT  Jazz Bands at PHMS!

Pioneers of Jazz (POJ)

The POJ is an auditioned Jazz Band made up of primarily 7th and 8th graders.  They will rehearse one to two times per week and attend festivals/competitions throughout the Metroplex.

Heritage Jazz Orchestra (HJO)

The HJO is a beginner 7th and 8th grade Jazz Band.  They rehearse once a week in the spring and perform at local festivals. (The forming of this group will depend on interest and Mr. Balettie's schedule.)

Learners of Jazz (LOJ)

The LOJ is truly a beginner Jazz Band.  It starts in March and is geared towards our beginning 6th grade students.  They reherase once a week.
